一、学校介绍
尔湾谷社区学院 （Irvine Valley College，简称IVC）成立于1979年，是尔湾唯一的一所社区大学。学院共有超过60个副学士专业和超过50个职业技术专业，涉及艺术，人文，生命科学，数学，语言，计算机，工程，物理，行为科学等多个领域。学院隶属于南橙县社区大学学区（South Orange County Community College District），学生可以在学区的另外两所学校Saddleback College和Advanced Technology & Education Park选课。
尔湾谷社区学院的学生成功转入四年制大学的比率在橙县排名第一，学院和加州大学的7个分校（UC Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Barbara和Santa Cruz）签订了转学保证录取协议（Transfer Admission Guarantee，TAG），只要所修的课程，GPA等达到要求，就可以转入这7所大学的大三继续学习。对于加州州立大学，学院有22个Associate in Art for Transfer/Associate in Science for Transfer学位课程，可以保证达到标准的学生在两年后进入加州州立大学继续攻读学士学位。
