其次,用词得当。此处用词并不是指一定要用高级的词汇,而是在申诉过程中的每一句话,我们要有能清晰表达我们意图的关键字。比如当我们在向教授道歉时:I reflected deeply on my misconduct.I realized my mistakes and I am truly sorry for my actions. 这一句话清晰明了地表达出学生的歉意。最后,情真意切。根据求真老师们多年的申诉经验,只要学生知错能改,教授是愿意给学生二次机会的。这里的情真意切并非需要学生向老师套近乎,而是要学生学会客观不偏颇地解释好已经发生的事情,并且尽量少地带入自己的个人情绪和看法。谈论未来的计划以及当下的反思和补救措施将会更容易达到情真意切的要求。
GPA,全称为Grade Point Average,即成绩平均绩点,是大多数美国大学及高等教育院校所采用的一种评估学生成绩的制度,又称4.0满分制算法。计算方法为把学科所得到的评级,换算成为一个绩点,再按照各学科所占学分比例加权所得的数字。在美国大学里,本科生GPA不得低于2.0,研究生GPA不得低于3.0,如果没有达到要求将面临被开除的风险。如果留学生想在毕业后继续申请研究生、博士,那么达到最低GPA要求是远远不够的,申请研究生需要最少3.0,博士则需要3.5以上。

Simply put, plagiarism is using words and thoughts of others as if they were your own. Any time you borrow from an original source and do not give proper credit, you have committed plagiarism.
